Wildlife week

Share information about type animals, habitat, and causes of extinct, endangered species, food web, food chain, natural and importance of each species in ecological balance. Students can go to local nearby park and help visitors as guide. Stress on how various anthropological activities cause their extinction and come out with ways of better co-existence.

4th October

Animal Welfare Day

Discuss on importance of animals. Activities like feeding stray animals around the campus, put a bin of water, activities to invite birds like keeping water and grains, make artificial nest in trees etc.

National Pollution Prevention Day

Share information about types of pollution, its effects, reduction, laws, local issues and finding solution from students. Promote ecofriendly practices like ban of polythene, use of cycle or by walk, plantation, water conservation practices.

Mountain Day

Discussions on importance of different types of mountains, mining. Conduct activities like hiking, Mountain walk, Identifying striking features, type, formation history and its importance.                     f

National Energy  Conservation Day

Awareness about the importance of energy, renewable, non renewable sources, its conservation. Activities to promote minimal use of energy, computation and discussion about innovative ways of usage of renewable source of energy. Stress on using LEDs, Solar powered devices, Maximum utilization of sunlight and wind.
