Karnataka State ENVIS Centre along with the host Institution EMPRI has taken an initiative to celebrated World Werlands Day. On this occasion Sarakki Government High School which was an Eco-club school was invited. Students were taken to a nearby wetland visit to Puttenahalli Lake for bringing awareness on the day. Importance of wetlands was explained to students. Bird identification activity was taken up by naturalists like Sri. T. S. Srinivasa and Sri. Prasad. Painting Competition as well as Quiz Competition was conducted for the School Children. Prizes in the form of Books and Certificates were distributed for the prize winners.
