The Karnataka ENVIS centre along with the host institute celebrated World Environment Day, 2015 on June 4th 2015. The programme commenced with a “Walk for the Environment from J.P Nagar third phase Mini Forest to the EMPRI office for a stretch of 2kms. The ENVIS team along with the EMPRI office staff, officers and 40 school children participated in the “Walk for the Environment”

The programme was scheduled at the EMPRI conference hall post the walk. The programme started with an inaugural function presided by Shri. G.V. Sugur,IFS HoFF. Chaired by Ritu Kakar, IFS Director General – EMPRI, Saswathi Mishra, IFS Director Research and Vinayakumar K.H. IFS Director (Research)& ENVIS Co-ordinator. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the solar torch.
